Code of Conduct

The purpose of this Code is to establish a set of standards to guide the activities of Directors and staff to allow them:

  • To fulfil their duty to act ethically and honestly and to exercise care and diligence in their activities.

  • A practical means for identifying and resolving situations where there may be a conflict of interest, and

  • To act in a way that allows public confidence in the Company.

  • To support compliance with the Department of Social Services Deed.

All staff and Directors are expected to abide by our Principles of Ethical Conduct and avoid or resolve Conflicts of Interest. 

All staff and Directors will be honest and frank in their dealings with each other, clients, employers and other stakeholders. They will not knowingly cause detriment to any person or make any false, misleading or incorrect statements and will at all times in their official dealings act in good faith and in a fair and impartial manner. 

Every Company member has a responsibility to portray the Company, its work and the people who are its clients and customers in a positively valued way. 

All persons engaged in official Company activities will behave in a manner that reflects the highest standards of professionalism, in their presentation, behaviour and activities. 

Every person who interacts with the Company has the right to be treated with courtesy, respect, dignity, confidentiality and professionalism. 

Please note: All employees fall within the definition of Commonwealth public officials under the Criminal Code Act 1995. Any breach of this policy may result in prosecution under the Act.
