Becoming a Worker

School Programs: First Steps To Employment

The transition between school and work can be one of the most exciting and challenging times in our life. For students in need of additional support or at risk of disengaging it can be critical.

ON-Q has a range of programs that are tailored to meet students’ individual needs and delivered in a supportive, alternative learning environment. It’s about staying involved in education for longer, and preparing for the next steps.

Certificate 1 in Becoming a Worker will give you the confidence and skills to enter the workforce. It consists of lessons held at ON-Q premises; a combination of core modules, electives and field work.

Becoming a Worker is just one of our specialist services tailored to give you the support you need, whether it's extra help at school, getting into an apprenticeship, arranging a workplace trial, teaching you interview skills and writing a resume, and even finding you a job.

If you’re still in school but looking at your options, speak to your careers advisor or local ON-Q office about Becoming a Worker.
